GREYHOUNDS

The following greyhounds are all in the Bournemouth area and we have been asked if we can help find homes for them. If you are in a position to offer a home to one of these dogs or would like some more information about them  please contact Sue at the Greyhounds in Need Charity Shop on 01202 513000.

Belle is a fit and lively 4 year old greyhound bitch retired from racing in November '09. She is exceptionally clean in the kennel, has been spayed and in common with most greyhounds, she has a very affectionate nature and is very happy to be with adults and older children. Greyhounds in the Cheshire area:

We are often asked to help rehome ex-racers and whilst every effort is made to keep the details on the site regarding greyhounds for adoption as up to date as possible we often have dogs waiting to come into our care in Cheshire so please give Sue and Phil a ring on 0161 620 6094 if you are interested in adopting a greyhound as they are up to date with news on the dogs needing rehoming.

Tommy is a small greyhound, very loving and affectionate. He had a long successful racing career and is now looking for a nice home where he can put his paws up. He walks very well on a lead and stays by your side with no pulling, he does not react when he sees a cat or rabbit, he just watches with interest. He can be a little reactive to other dogs when outside if they bark at him, but a biscuit under the nose quickly diverts his attention. He is very keen on toys and loves to play. The best home for Tommy would be one with experienced owners either as an only dog or with a sensible female greyhound. He is not suitable for a home with children.
