Laura, Teri, Sita, Elliot, Orlando and Aitor now in France thanks to Jacqueline, Max and WIlfrid

September/October transportations………..

Wilfrid from Levriers en Difficulte travelled to Vic in September to collect Laura, Teri, Sita, Elliot, Orlando and Aitor for Jacqueline and Max of Association de Sauvetage des Levriers. We were very grateful to Jacqueline and Max for taking Aitor as he has problems with his sight. Sadly nothing can be done but he has settled in with his new family and is coping very well. Wilfrid also collected Presiosi who had a home waiting in France . Another trip is planned for later this month.

Josephine travelled on 2nd October from Antwerp to Malaga to collect Montoya, Planta, Cabal and Cayetana from April and Paul’s kennels. More galgos are already taking their place at the kennels, some from Villamartin and some from the local area.

Last weekend we moved 19 galgos from Vic. Eleven went to Antwerp , to Josephine and Greyhounds Rescue Belgium and 8 came to the UK to be our new group in quarantine.   Our new UK galgos are – Terry, Hamlet, Nuria, Peluda, Fortuna, Paulette, Enrietta and Domingo. More photos and details...

We (Terry, Pat and Carolyn) were able to be at the quarantine kennels in Gloucestershire www.preciouspets.co.uk when the dogs arrived with Colin and Carol of Pet Couriers www.pet-couriers.com. It was lovely to see the galgos as they came off the van. The staff at the kennels were as pleased as us to see them. First, Domingo, who was a little scared and had his tail between his legs, next was Fortuna – who stopped to pee and we thought he wouldn’t stop!, then came Nuria, Peluda, Terry, Hamlet, Paulette and Enrietta – all with tails wagging and looking quite pleased to see everyone. They had clean waterproof coats all ready for them in 2 piles – blue for boys and pink for girls, and once settled they had their first meal in the UK . Pat already has a waiting list of people interested in adopting them.

Later this month another 18 galgos will be going from Albacete to Italy – details for this transport are being finalized now and Josephine is also getting ready for another trip to Alicante to collect Bracken, Lilly and Louisa from Gail and Andy at Noah’s Arc – more news and photos of these transportations later.
