| Start time: | 11.00 am |
| Parking: | "BURBUSH HILL" Car Park, Nr Burley. |
This walk, approximately 4 miles long, should take around 2 hours at a leisurely pace. It covers a diverse area of woodland and open heath with some water stops for the dogs to enjoy. There are footbridges over most of the streams along the route, but it can be quite muddy in a couple of places - especially near Whitten Pond after heavy rainfall. Please wear appropriate footwear dependent on recent weather!
Please respect other users of the
forest, especially ponies and horse riders, and maintain control of your dog.
Leave the A31 Ringwood
- Southampton road at Picket Post, signposted Burley. Follow the road through
Burley Street into Burley. At the war memorial bear Right, signposted: Bransgore
and Christchurch. After about a mile, as you leave the built up area, the car
park is on the Left.
There should be plenty of space but it may well be busy with other dog walkers
and family groups, so please take care entering and leaving the car park.
A donation of
£2.00 per person to Greyhounds in Need can be payable to Sue North before the
start of the walk.
