April transportations

Transportations to Belgium, Switzerland and the UK took place in April.

Gail and Andy of Noah's Arc, Murcia, kindly drove Elliott, Juliet, Sofia and Hudson to Antwerp at the beginning of April. They had been looking after these four galgos until homes could be found for them in Belgium and it was nice that they were able to meet with the new families plus meet other members of Greyhounds Rescue Belgium (GRB).

Manuela went to Barcelona to collect more galgos. We are so pleased that homes are again being found for them in Switzerland thanks to Manuela and her team at Levrier Swiss Adoptions.

We were very grateful to Josephine and her volunteers for all their help with the transport of our new galgos for quarantine. GRB volunteers flew the galgos from Barcelona to Brussels and then took them to Calais where Steve and Paula, from Precious Pets Quarantine Kennels, met them and took them on the last part of their journey to Gloucestershire.

Steve and Paula say they are all settling in well at the kennels and already Pat, our Homing Officer, has been kept busy with enquiries about them. For more information, photos etc. please click  http://greyhoundsinneed.co.uk/adoption/adoptiongalgos.htm

The following weekend Chris from Greyhounds Rescue Belgium flew to Malaga to collect Affinity, Bibiana, Kalimo and Julietta, all from the Villamartin refuge in Cadiz.

With all these galgos leaving the kennels we have been able to bring more in from Albacete, Almendralejo, Jaen and Murcia and as soon as they are well and ready to travel more transportations will be arranged.
