Fundraising news

We are over half way through the year now and many events have taken place all over the country to help raise funds for, and awareness of, the greyhounds and galgos.

Carol, Sue, Phil and their supporters have been very busy in and around Cheshire with dog shows, store collections, awareness days and dog walks.

Sue, Penny and supporters have been busy at the shop in Bournemouth which continues to raise much needed funds for GIN’s work, they have also organized street collections in Ringwood and Dorchester and are always in need of more helpers, if you feel you could help with these collections in the future please give Esme (01305 262320) or Sue (01202 513000) a call, they will be pleased to hear from you.

The monthly walks in Dorset , organized by Keith and Mollie are very popular with numbers of walkers and dogs increasing, next walk is on 26^th July.

Sue and Les in Worcestershire continue to do well with their car boot sales and street and store collections, again if you can help in the future please give Sue a ring on 01527 869395

Rita and Christine in Sussex have been busy with GIN stalls at their local events. More helpers always needed so please give Rita – 01323 833652 or Christine – 07827913480, a ring as more events are planned for later in the year.

The GIN HQ Team have been busy with local fairs at Englefield Green and Wraysbury and of course the annual GIN picnic in Virginia Water.

We were very lucky with the weather for the picnic, despite two light rain showers, the rest of the day was lovely and hot and it was nice to meet up with everyone and talk greyhounds and galgos. Many thanks to Nicky for organizing the raffle for us. Linda, from Colnbrook, won the Digital Radio.
