Galgo Release DayIf
a dog has to be confined for 6 months in quarantine I can’t
think of a better place than Precious Pets to do so. Our thanks
must go again to Paula and Steve who together with their
dedicated staff take such good care of our dogs and make Release
Day so special. The
months leading up to the release were not the easiest of times
but it all came out well in the end. We have to accept that
people do pull out along the way for all sorts of reasons and it
is better they do this earlier rather than later if they have
any doubts at all. On
the day, having made the journey through road works, traffic,
fog and being stuck behind slow moving lorries we finally
arrived to the usual warm welcome of Precious Pets where
refreshments were ready and very excited adopters were waiting
in anticipation of taking their beautiful dogs home. The
necessary paperwork was then completed for each owner, followed
by the call for each dog to be brought out, then the excitement,
the photo calls and the realisation that the long awaited day
had finally arrived. First out was Peluda who literally
“bounced” and wanted to go up to everyone for a fuss. She
seemed very happy to be going home with Vivien to Fortuna
was next to put in an appearance, totally placid and looking
pleased to be going to Norfolk with Jan. Paulette was also
totally calm as she joined Wendy for her trip to a good life in
Devon. Tiny Nuria came next and she really seemed to grow in
confidence as she got dressed in her posh red collar and lead
for her journey to Last
on the scene was Hamlet who was going with We
were lucky to have visitors to the Release Day again. People who
already own Galgos just wanted to come along, show off their
dogs and share in the excitement of others as they took their
dogs on to their new lives. It was lovely to see Dawn and John
with Rafi and
