January TransportationsTwenty one galgos left Spain in January to start new lives in Belgium and France. Jacqueline and Max of Association Sauvetage Levriers went to Vic at the beginning of the month to collect Polvora, Laya, Trinity, and Coelo from Albacete, Petita Susi from Alemendralejo and Kintin from Jaen. You can see from the photos here that Pep and Pilar at Vic have looked after them very well. They are now all with their new families. Kathi Backes of SOS Levriers went to Vic to collect Platon from Albacete and Xena and Sola from Cuenca on the same day that Wilfrid of Levriers en Difficulte went to collect Rebecca from Jaen, Bolillo, Tea, Ayenda, Pin, Pan, and Pun from Albacete and Pucca from Almendralejo. The weather for their journey was very bad, high winds on the motorways but they braved this to collect the dogs and all arrived safely in France. http://www.levrier-galgo.com/index.asp?P=DetActu.asp&Id=566 Josephine of Greyhounds Rescue Belgium flew to Alicante to collect Charlie, Shadow, Armando and Princess from Gail and Andy of Noah’s Arc, Murcia. These four will be much missed by Gail and Andy but already Elliott and Juliet have arrived and will be looked after until the next flight to Brussels. Balbino and his team at Arca de Noe are now preparing for another transport to Elisa and GACI next month and April and Paul in Cadiz are busy too with 10 galgos who will soon be leaving for homes in Belgium. A very good start to the New Year for these galgos and our thanks go out to all involved for making this possible.
