June TransportationsAnother busy month for transportations with 22 galgos starting new lives in France and Belgium. Jacqueline and Max from Association de Sauvetage des Levriers went again to Vic to collect Aratna, Max, Miya, Penny, Heda, Saltamontes and Sisi, originally from refuges in Albacete, Jaen, Madrid and Murcia.
Wilfrid from Levriers en Difficulte, Midi-Pyrenees went to Vic to collect Letzia, Saoul, Lady, Bienvieda and Neus, originally from refuges in Albacete and Almendralejo. We were very grateful to Wilfrid and his team for helping Bienvieda and Neus. Bienvieda, a 10 year old galga had a very tough life in Spain and needed some time with Pep to receive treatment and recover. As you can see from the photo here she is looking very happy in her new home in France. Neus, originally from Albacete, is another elderly galgo who is very good at escaping as Pep in Barcelona found out! Pep managed to catch him and Wilfrid kindly offered to find him a home in France. He is quite happy with Wilfrid at the moment and getting used to other pets and will stay with Wilfrid and his family until that special home comes along.
Josephine and her group, Greyhounds Rescue Belgium have been busy with flights to Malaga and Alicante to collect Reza, Rio, Rufus, Zebedee, Sheena, Mikey, Boycie and Tigger. You can see their photos here.
Regular visitors to our website will have read about Jack and Jill who were rescued in Murcia by Gail and Andy of Noah’s Arc. They are now in Belgium , thanks to Sabine from Noah’s Arc, who flew to Belgium to meet Josephine earlier this month. They are already in a home together and have a new friend Pado.
Many thanks to everyone involved for making the above transportations possible.
