October TransportationsTransportations to Belgium, France and the UK took place in October. Gail and Andy of Noah's Arc, Murcia, kindly took Zoe, Diana, Bessie and Lisa to Alicante airport to meet Josephine of Greyhounds Rescue Belgium, ready for the flight back to Brussels and their new homes.
Wilfrid of Levriers en Difficulte travelled to Vic to collect Montenegro, Dorothy, Pinky and Viviana originally from refuges in Albacete and Almendralejo.
We were very grateful to Josephine and her volunteers for all their help with the transport of our new galgos for quarantine. GRB volunteers flew the galgos from Barcelona to Brussels and then took them to Calais where the quarantine transport were there to meet them and take them to Precious Pets Quarantine Kennels, Newnham, Gloucestershire. Steve and Paula say they are all settling in well at the kennels and already Pat, our Homing Officer, has been kept busy with enquiries about them. For more information, photos etc. please click http://greyhoundsinneed.co.uk/adoption/adoptiongalgos.htm Greyhounds Rescue Belgium also collected two galgos from Vic for homing in Belgium – Momo and Duque, both originally from Albacete. With these galgos leaving the kennels we have been able to bring more in from Albacete, Almendralejo, Madrid, Murcia and Villamartin and as soon as they are well and ready to travel more transportations will be arranged. |
