Galgos for homing in the UK - January 2012

We have been very pleased with the response we have had for the new galgos we are planning to bring to the UK in January 2012. Our Homing Officer, Pat, has been very busy dealing with all the enquiries, sending out paperwork, organising home visits etc. As mentioned earlier on our website and in our recent newsletter the current quarantine requirements end on 31^st December, 2011. This means that we will no longer have to put our galgos into quarantine kennels for six months. The only requirement will be that dogs coming into the UK must be vaccinated against rabies.

We have decided that we will continue to carry out stringent health checking on our rescued galgos and that we will kennel all incoming dogs for at least four weeks, on their arrival in the UK, so that they can be properly assessed before being adopted. See our previous article.
