News from Cheshire…..Well, we thought that 2008 had been a good year for fundraising but we think that we have broken even that       record in 2009!  How have we done it you might ask, all down to the fantastic and committed efforts of our  volunteer “friends” who we cannot thank enough for their tremendous support throughout the year.   Thanks also to our new supporters who have joined us at several events and provided some lovely home-made gifts which have helped, in no small way, to our fundraising activities.  Thanks also go to the baker of our home-made dog treats and to the volunteer who always           purchases some immediately they are on display and gives them all to the waiting hungry greyhounds!  A great big thank you to our friends who have tirelessly driven the many vet runs and for the generosity of the fosterers who kindly give our hounds a taster of a home life, none of which could be achieved without their help. The dog shows have been the      highlight of this year and we have had 5 very successful shows in the Cheshire area adding a new one to our list at Appleton Thorn Village Hall where we hope to return next year.  The dog shows in particular prove to be great fun and it is lovely to see so many proud owners with their dogs donning a winning         rosette. We would like to thank our colleagues at RGT North West for inviting us to fundraise at 3 events this year and  for the excellent  relations both Charities enjoy.  Our collaboration and camaraderie is only        possible thanks to the professionalism of both our Charities and our shared aim in raising as much money as we can to continue the work in Spain and the UK.   25 Charity, with Jim at the   Appleton Thorn Dog Show
