Our work abroad   The cost of our work in Spain has increased         considerably over the last year due to the weak pound.  We have also   noticed a slight reduction in the numbers of homes becoming available for the galgos as many countries, like the UK, struggle during these     difficult times. However, we have continued to move many galgos from Spain to some wonderful homes in France, Belgium, Italy, Slovenia and Switzerland.      We have also been able to continue offering financial support to some individuals and refuges in Spain, plus many parcels of donated coats and medicines continue to be sent direct to the refuges throughout the year.   (Please see back cover) The groups we work with organise many events throughout the year and it is wonderful to see how welcome the galgos are at these events,       always drawing the crowds and showing what lovely dogs they are and what wonderful pets they make. Wilfrid and his group Levriers en Difficulte, Midi-Pyrenees, were     invited to attend the Medieval Show in Cordes sur ciel.  They were able to talk about the galgos and what happens to them in Spain.  They         received a lot of interest and hopefully some more home offers will     follow.      Wilfrid will be going to Vic soon to collect some more galgos.   32 Some of the donated goods sent to the Villamartin refuge in Cadiz
